Leonard Ehrlich's final reflections on Jaspers' concept of "philosophical faith" prior to his death on 8 June 2011 and the concept for which Ehrlich was also famous. An account of the two phases of the philosophy of Karl Jaspers during which he developed and refined his notion of philosophical faith, the first being tied to his Philosophie in 3 volumes (1932) following World War I, and the second being tied to his Von der Wahrheit (1947), written immediately following World War II, and his political writings having to do with the partition of Germany, the Cold War, and hope for the future of mankind.
