Abstract

The relationship between logical positivism and the philosophy of the social sciences has received most detailed attention, with the exception of Neurath, from the neo-empiricist writer, Carl G. Hempel.¹ In his study "Logical Positivism and the Social Sciences", an exploratory as well as historical examination of this relationship, Neurath's contribution is contrasted with that of Carnap and Feigl.²
